  • Who is Ava’s Path designed for?

    Ava’s Path is designed for a wide range of adults supporting children, including:

    ● Parents going through divorce or separation

    ● Co-parents, caregivers, and family members (including grandparents or

    guardians) caring for a child with additional needs

    ● Families navigating school, medical, and legal systems

    ● Professionals supporting these families (attorneys, therapists, educators)

  • Is Ava’s Path only for families of children with diagnosed disabilities?

    No. Many families participate with or without formal diagnosis. The program

    supports children who may experience:

    ● Learning differences

    ● Anxiety, ADHD, autism, language disorders

    ● Medical or mental health conditions

    ● Children who need structured support to thrive

  • Are courses available in Spanish?

    Yes. Ava’s Path offers a Spanish-language version of the Agility Parent Education

    Stabilization course. The Spanish course satisfies the same Florida court and DCF

    requirements as the English versions and is accepted by courts in the same manner.

    Participants should enroll in the language version they plan to complete, as

    enrollments cannot be switched after registration..

  • What makes Ava’s Path different from traditional parenting courses?

    Traditional courses are general. Ava’s Path uses a universal, disability-informed

    approach that is:

    ● Focused on real-world systems (schools, therapies, courts)

Court Compliance & Certificates

  • Is Ava’s Path court-approved?

    Yes. Ava’s Path is approved by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and listed on the DCF provider directory. Courses satisfy the parent-education requirement under Florida law and are accepted by courts throughout Florida.

  • Is Ava’s Path required by the court?

    Yes. Florida law mandates completion of a parent education course in cases

    involving minor children under § 61.21, Florida Statutes. 


    Section, § 61.21(4), Florida Statutes, authorizes courts to require a disability-informed parenting course when a child has a disability, developmental condition, or additional needs.


    Ava’s Path is approved by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and satisfies both the general parent education requirement and the disability-informed course requirement under Florida law.

  • Do both parents have to take the course?

    Yes. Each parent must register individually and receive their own certificate unless

    otherwise directed by the court.

  • How do I submit my certificate to the court?

    Participants are responsible for downloading and submitting their certificate to the court, attorney, or mediator if required. Ava’s Path does not file certificates with the court or send them to third parties.

  • What name will appear on my certificate?

    Certificates are issued exactly as the participant’s name is entered at registration. Please use your full legal name.


    If you enroll using Apple ID or another autofill option, confirm that your full legal

    name is visible and entered correctly at the time of registration, as some settings

    may default to a nickname, initials, or private relay name that will carry over to your certificate.


    Name changes cannot be processed after enrollment. Participants are responsible

    for confirming accuracy before completing registration.

  • Who issues my certificate?

    Your certificate is issued by Ava’s Path, the approved provider. “Agility Parent

    Education and Family Stabilization Course” is the official course name listed with the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF). Certificates will reflect Ava’s Path as the provider and the Agility course name for DCF and court compliance.

  • What will I learn in the Agility Parent Education Stabilization course?

    All of our courses include the core curriculum required for court compliance under Florida law. Topics typically include:

    ● Co-parenting with empathy and structure

    ● Understanding your child’s learning or developmental profile

    ● Communicating effectively with professionals and the other parent

    ● Reducing conflict and protecting the child

  • How long does the course take?

    Most participants complete the course within a few hours, but you can move at your own pace. Access is typically available for a set period so you can revisit content.

  • Is the course online?

    Yes. Ava’s Path courses are delivered online so families can complete them privately and on their own schedule and flexible access across multiple devices.

  • Can both parents take the course?

    Yes. Each parent must register individually and receive their own certificate. The goal

    is shared understanding and reduced conflict around the child’s needs.

  • Will I receive a certificate?

    Yes. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate of completion. This may be useful for:

    ● Court documentation

    ● Attorneys

    ● Mediators

    ● Other

Enrollment & Access

  • How do I enroll?

    You can enroll directly through the website by selecting the course and completing

    registration. Email verification is required at the time of enrollment.


    Participants must register using their correct legal name exactly as it should appear on the certificate of completion, as this document may be submitted to the court.


    If you enroll using Apple ID, please ensure that your full legal name is visible and

    correctly entered at the time of registration. Apple ID settings may default to a nickname, initials, or a private relay name, which will carry over to your certificate.


    Name changes cannot be processed after enrollment.


    The name entered at registration will appear exactly as submitted on the certificate of completion. Ava’s Path does not modify participant names, reissue certificates, or verify name changes after enrollment for any reason. Participants are responsible for confirming accuracy before completing registration.

  • If I donated by mistake, am I registered for the course?

    No. Donations do not enroll participants in the course and do not generate a

    certificate of completion. Course registration must be completed separately through the registration page.

  • How much does it cost?

    Pricing varies based on course type and available scholarship support.

  • Are scholarships available?

    Ava’s Path seeks to ensure access for families in need. Limited scholarships or

    sponsored seats may be available depending on funding.

  • What if I selected the wrong course? Are refunds available?

    All Ava’s Path courses are approved for court compliance and are listed on the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) provider directory. Because they meet the same statutory and educational requirements, Ava’s Path courses satisfy the parent education requirement under Florida law and are accepted by courts throughout Florida. For this reason, there is generally no “wrong course” selection, and course fees are non-refundable once access has been granted.


    Our disability-informed course includes the full core curriculum required for court

    compliance, along with additional information addressing the needs of children who may have anxiety, ADHD, learning differences, or other support needs. Families without these concerns may still take this course and remain fully compliant with court requirements.


    As a nonprofit supported in part by volunteers, Ava’s Path does not have the capacity to process refunds. In some cases, a credit toward a future class may be offered at our discretion.

  • How long do I have access after enrolling?

    Florida courts require completion within a specified timeframe. Participants are

    responsible for meeting their own deadlines. Ava’s Path cannot extend court-ordered timelines. Ava’s Path is structured to meet this requirement.

Privacy & Confidentiality

  • Is my participation private?

    Yes, Ava’s Path adheres to Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) requirements governing Parent Education and Family Stabilization Courses.


    Participant information is collected and maintained solely for purposes of enrollment verification, course completion, and certificate issuance.

  • Will Ava’s Path communicate with my co-parent or attorney?

    No. Ava’s Path does not communicate with co-parents, attorneys, or other third

    parties. Participants are responsible for providing their own certificate of completion to the court or to any professional involved in their case, if required.

  • Does Ava’s Path provide legal advice?

    No. Ava’s Path provides educational resources. Ava’s Path provides educational programming only and does not offer legal representation, mediation, or case management.

  • Does Ava’s Path provide therapy?

    No. Ava’s Path is not a therapy provider.

  • Can Ava’s Path help with school advocacy?

    No. Ava’s Path provides educational content only.

    Support requests are typically reviewed within 1–2 business days.

  • Will technical issues extend my court deadline?

    No. Participants are responsible for completing the course within any court-ordered or statutory deadlines. Ava’s Path cannot modify court deadlines, grant extensions, or provide legal relief for missed deadlines due to technical issues. We strongly recommend enrolling and completing the course well in advance of your required completion date.

  • Can I download materials to complete later?

    Course materials and certificates are available through the platform once modules are completed. Availability of downloadable content may vary by course and device. Access to materials is subject to platform functionality and user compliance with

    course requirements.
